- 3–4 pounds beef roast (shoulder or chuck)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Buns, for serving
- Optional: coleslaw (for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the meat by trimming any excess fat from your beef roast.
- Season generously with a spice blend of garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Set up your slow cooker by placing the seasoned beef in and adding beef broth, apple cider vinegar, and BBQ sauce.
- Let it cook, covering on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.
- Shred the beef directly in the slow cooker using two forks and mix well with the remaining sauce.
- Serve the BBQ pulled pork on soft buns topped with coleslaw.
