Warm, hearty Burger Bowls with crispy potato chips, savory beef, and a drizzle of creamy sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

- 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2–3 medium potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
- 500 grams lean beef mince
- Lettuce (shredded)
- Cheese (dairy-free or regular)
- Pickle slices
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon mustard (Dijon or yellow)
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice (from the jar of pickles)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
- Mix together the spice mix ingredients: smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Wash and cut the potatoes into chips. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the chips along with half of the spice mix. Mix well to coat evenly.
- Arrange the chips on a baking tray and cook in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 30–40 minutes or in an air fryer for 20 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan over high heat and add the beef mince, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, then sprinkle in the remaining spice mix.
- Combine the sauce ingredients: mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Divide the crisp potatoes among serving bowls. Fill with shredded lettuce, cooked beef mince, cheese, and pickles. Drizzle with the burger sauce and serve immediately.
Notes
You can prepare the spice mix and burger sauce ahead of time. Feel free to customize your bowls with different proteins or toppings.
