Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 cup imitation crab meat or cooked shrimp
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
  • Soy sauce, for serving
  • Wasabi and pickled ginger, optional

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  2. Combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan over low heat until dissolved.
  3. Fold the vinegar mixture into the cooked rice and let it cool slightly.
  4. Divide sushi rice among serving bowls and top with avocado, cucumber, crab meat, and nori.
