Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1 cup Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, stirring in the vanilla.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually stir this dry mixture into the buttery blend until well combined.
  6. Spread the brownie mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool the brownies completely.
  9. Beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold in the melted chocolate.
  10. Spread the chocolate cream over the cooled brownies.
  11. Top with Cool Whip and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
