Description

Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are a delightful and easy-to-make appetizer, perfect for family dinners or gatherings, complemented by a zesty Bang Bang sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh, skinless salmon fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (for the Bang Bang Sauce)
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce (for the Bang Bang Sauce)
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (for the Bang Bang Sauce, adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp honey (for the Bang Bang Sauce)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (for the Bang Bang Sauce)

Instructions

  1. Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Create a breading station with bowls for flour, beaten eggs, and a panko mixture with seasonings.
  3. Coat each salmon piece in flour, dip in eggs, and roll in the panko mixture.
  4. Heat 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  5. Fry the salmon bites in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together the Bang Bang sauce ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  7. Drizzle the sauce over the fried salmon bites and serve immediately.

Notes

Make-ahead option available: coat salmon bites and refrigerate until ready to fry. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
