Description

A cozy recipe of tender garlic steak bites mingled with crispy potatoes, perfect for weeknight dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • lbs baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 56 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Toss in the halved or quartered baby potatoes. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until fork-tender and golden brown, about 15 minutes.
  3. Remove the potatoes from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Season the bite-sized sirloin cubes with salt, pepper, and dried Italian herbs.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter to the same skillet. When the butter sizzles, sear the steak in batches for 2–3 minutes per side.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium-low, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant for about 1 minute.
  7. Return the crispy potatoes to the skillet and toss everything together, cooking for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Make-ahead advice: Marinate the steak cubes in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for extra flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
