Description
A comforting bowl of grilled chicken and fresh broccoli topped with rich, creamy garlic sauce—perfect for busy weeknights!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing broccoli)
Instructions
- Start by marinating the chicken. In a mixing bowl, combine the low-sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the marinated chicken on the grill. Grill each piece for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the fresh broccoli florets, sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but vibrant. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Combine heavy cream, remaining minced garlic, soy sauce, and any leftover cooked marinade in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until heated through.
- Slice the grilled chicken into strips. Assemble your bowls by placing sautéed broccoli at the bottom and topping with sliced chicken. Drizzle the creamy garlic sauce over the top and serve immediately.
Notes
Marinate chicken ahead of time for enhanced flavor. Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
