Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup pecan pie filling
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the pecan pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the pecan pie filling.
  4. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  5. Scatter the chopped pecans over the top.
  6. Pour the water evenly over the mixture.
  7. Important: Do not stir!
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.
