Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Carefully core each apple, making sure to leave the bottom intact.
  2. Slice the tops to create a blooming effect.
  3. Mix together the brown sugar, chopped walnuts, and cinnamon, then fold in the raisins.
  4. Stuff each apple generously with the delicious mixture.
  5. Place the stuffed apples in your slow cooker, and top each one with a pat of butter.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 180-240 minutes, or until the apples are tender.
  7. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving, if desired.
