Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3/4 cup sprinkles (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and white sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place them on ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges turn golden.
  9. Let them cool on wire racks.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use coconut oil instead of butter. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
