Description

Tender, crispy apple sticks dusted with cinnamon and sugar, perfect for a cozy treat any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep the apples: Start by peeling the apples if you prefer, then cut them into fry-like sticks. Make sure to pat them dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
  2. Set up coating stations: Prepare three bowls with flour, whisked egg and milk, and a mixture of panko, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Coat the apple sticks: Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip into the egg mixture, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Air fry the apple fries: Lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray and arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Cook to golden perfection: Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Serve with love: Enjoy warm with caramel dip, yogurt, or whipped cream.

Notes

You can prep the apple sticks in advance and store them in the refrigerator until ready to air fry.
