- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth in a mixing bowl.
- Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed to perfection.
- Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the cheese filling a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
