Description

A cozy and rich pastry filled with creamy cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
  3. Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth in a mixing bowl.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed to perfection.
  8. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the cheese filling a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
