A cozy, comforting casserole packed with ground beef, cheese, and crispy french fries, perfect for family dinners.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups frozen French fries
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Ketchup and mustard for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned; drain excess grease.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Spread half of the French fries in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the beef mixture over the French fries and top with the remaining French fries.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the fries are crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot with ketchup and mustard as desired.
Notes
Make ahead by preparing the beef mixture a day in advance. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
