A cozy and comforting Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread filled with tender bananas and a delightful cinnamon sugar swirl.
Ingredients

- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons sugar (for the swirl)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the flour until just incorporated – don’t overmix!
- Combine the ground cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar for the swirl in a small bowl.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
- Add the rest of the banana batter, and then top with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
- Swirl the mixture with a knife for that gorgeous marbled effect.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before removing from the pan.
Notes
This banana bread freezes beautifully! Wrap slices tightly in plastic and store in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
