Description
These soft, pillowy rolls brushed with creamy, melted butter are perfect for any meal, bringing warmth and comfort to your table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup butter, softened (for brushing)
Instructions
- Combine the warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add the melted butter, eggs, salt, and flour; mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Punch down the dough, divide it into 12 equal pieces, and shape each into a soft ball.
- Place them on a greased baking sheet and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and irresistibly tempting.
- Brush the warm rolls with softened butter before serving for that extra dreamy touch.
Notes
You can prepare the dough and let it rise in the fridge overnight for convenience. Handle the dough as little as possible for pillowy softness.
