Description

A cozy and healthier alternative to traditional breakfast sausage, made with ground chicken and infused with aromatic spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, sage, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Gently place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they’re browned and cooked through.

Notes

Make-ahead advice: Prepare the sausage mixture a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days or frozen for later use.
