- 500g bread flour
- 350ml water
- 100g sourdough starter
- 10g salt
Instructions
- Combine the bread flour and water in a large bowl. Mix until no dry flour remains.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes to absorb the water.
- Add the sourdough starter and salt. Mix well to incorporate everything.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a tea towel, and let it rise for 4-5 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place your Dutch oven inside to heat up.
- Shape the risen dough into a round loaf and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
- Transfer the dough to the hot Dutch oven, cover with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool the loaf on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
For best results, use a serrated knife to slice the bread and store in a paper bag at room temperature.
