Description

A delightful and quick seafood stew, combining shrimp, cod, mussels, and clams in a savory broth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound cod, cut into chunks
  • 1 pound mussels, cleaned
  • 1 pound clams, scrubbed
  • 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) diced tomatoes
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups seafood broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley and basil), chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat until it shimmers invitingly.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion becomes tender and translucent.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes and seafood broth. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add the shrimp, cod, mussels, and clams to the pot, letting them become enveloped in the fragrant broth.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs.
  6. Cook until the seafood is fully cooked, about 10-15 minutes.
  7. Serve hot in bowls, garnished with additional herbs and alongside crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

Customize by adding red pepper flakes for spice or a splash of cream for richness.
