Description

Delicious individual pastries filled with a creamy cream cheese mixture, wrapped in a golden flaky dough.


Ingredients

  • 1 batch Tarte Au Sucre dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to Tarte Au Sucre recipe instructions.
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Roll out the Tarte Au Sucre dough on a floured surface and cut it into individual squares or circles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each piece of dough.
  5. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to create a charming pocket or pinwheel shape.
  6. Brush the tops of your Danish with the beaten egg.
