Description

A cozy treat combining the rich flavors of peanut butter and chocolate, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (for swirls)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and peanut butter until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add this dry mix to the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Spread half of the dough into the prepared pan.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of additional peanut butter over the dough and add the remaining dough on top, swirling with a knife.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

These bars can be made ahead and stored for up to a week. Feel free to customize with different nuts or toppings.
