Description

A vibrant twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, this stir-fry is quick enough for a busy weeknight dinner and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (thinly sliced)
  • 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 8 oz mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (Provolone or Cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder or any preferred seasoning

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms to the skillet, mixing in those lovely colors.
  4. Sauté the vegetables until they are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the broccoli and cook until it’s heated through.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and any additional spices as desired; give it a good stir to blend those flavors.
  7. Top with shredded cheese, cover the skillet, and let it melt for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

This stir-fry reheats wonderfully! Store leftovers in an airtight container and enjoy them for lunch the next day.
