Description

A hearty and comforting casserole made with tender potatoes, seasoned ground beef, and a cheesy finish, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Combine the browned beef, diced potatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, chopped onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker.
  3. Stir to mix all ingredients well.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes (6-8 hours) or on high for 180-240 minutes (3-4 hours), until the potatoes are tender.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top about 15 minutes before serving. Cover and allow the cheese to melt before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize with any additional ingredients like vegetables, or different types of cheese. Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to three days.
