Description

Tender meatballs in a rich, sticky Mongolian sauce, perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and chopped green onions until well combined. Form into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Add broccoli florets to the baking sheet around the meatballs.
  4. Whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar in a separate bowl. Pour this sauce over the meatballs and broccoli.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through and the broccoli is tender.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles, allowing the sauce to drench every bite.

Notes

Feel free to customize with your favorite add-ins like chili garlic sauce for extra heat or bell peppers for variety.
