Ingredients

  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 13 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to your sweetness preference)
  • Ice for serving
  • Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the strawberries: Start by hulling and slicing the fresh strawberries, letting their sweetness be the star of our drink.
  2. Blend your base: In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, cold water, fresh lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Sweeten to taste: Taste the mixture and add honey or agave syrup as desired, blending in between.
  4. Strain (optional): If you prefer an ultra-smooth texture, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve.
  5. Chill and serve: Transfer the agua fresca into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Serve it over ice.

Notes
