Ingredients

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 6 cups rice cereal
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
Instructions
- Combine the sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat, stir continuously until it comes to a gentle boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter until smooth.
- Mix the rice cereal with the peanut butter mixture in a large bowl, stirring gently.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the melted mixture over the cereal layer and spread evenly.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
These bars can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for up to a week. To slice cleanly, warm a sharp knife slightly in hot water.
