- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1½ cups cucumber, grated
- 2 tablespoons dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon mint, chopped (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Grate the cucumber using a box grater.
- Drain the grated cucumber to remove excess liquid.
- Mix the drained cucumber, Greek yogurt, dill, mint (if using), lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and salt in a bowl.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve with warm pita or pita chips.
Notes
Tzatziki can be made a day in advance for enhanced flavor. Store in an airtight container.
