Description

A creamy and garlicky tzatziki that is perfect as a dip or spread, transporting you to sunny Mediterranean picnics.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1½ cups cucumber, grated
  • 2 tablespoons dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mint, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Grate the cucumber using a box grater.
  2. Drain the grated cucumber to remove excess liquid.
  3. Mix the drained cucumber, Greek yogurt, dill, mint (if using), lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Serve with warm pita or pita chips.

Notes

Tzatziki can be made a day in advance for enhanced flavor. Store in an airtight container.
