Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup crumble topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is beautifully combined.
  5. Fold in the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and optional chopped nuts to create the crumble topping.
  7. Fill each muffin cup halfway with the batter, sprinkle crumble topping generously, then top with remaining batter.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow cooling for a few minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
