Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is beautifully combined.
- Fold in the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and optional chopped nuts to create the crumble topping.
- Fill each muffin cup halfway with the batter, sprinkle crumble topping generously, then top with remaining batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow cooling for a few minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
